Patch 1 and Bugs Found


Fixes so far:

  • NPCs don't disappear from the game when un-possessed too quickly or near walls. They now can be found at their original position in those cases instead of vanishing into the abyss.
  • Fixed the lighting around a particularly poorly lit yet pivotal item in the house.
  • Less places where you can teleport downwards into the abyss.
  • Added Open Inventory button to control tips.
  • Removed Page Turn UI from books with only 1 page.
  • Cynthia and Richard can talk again, allowing the story to progress is possessing Richard.

Bugs reported and still being working on:

  • Teleporting is still a bit off in some places. (Avoid teleporting up or down near the edge of a room or on a stairwell for now!)
  • Picking up quest items as a ghost and throwing can sometimes make them disappear, stopping progress (def avoid doing with the shield, sword, and crown for now!)
  • Second puzzle box sometimes does not trigger what it's supposed to when completed.
  • Statue puzzle sometimes does not complete even when items are arranged correctly.
  • First puzzle box opens unexpectedly at times.
  • Taking the picture frame into your inventory but not reading it first will mean it can't be read later (give it a good spin around when you pick it up for now)
  • Looking at but not taking the gem will make it disappear (for now, just take it when it appears or else it will vanish)
  • Saves and loads are wonky

Thanks so much to everyone who has played the game and told me about these bugs so far. Working on it now that I'm back in the Republic after a week in Northern Ireland. (On an unrelated note: careful when booking a vacation around the 12th of July... rookie mistake)
